Hello my beauties! Since I am on a no spend, no buy for 2019 I thought it would be a great opportunity to share my first collection of empties since the focus is on using up and getting the most out of products before getting distracted and buying a replacement far too prematurely.
Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Perfectly Satin 24hr Foundation in 04 Sunbeige
This was my first dabble with Elizabeth Arden beauty and it was so good that I bought a back up of this foundation last year when it was in the sale, it’s a solid medium coverage foundation where a little goes a long way making this my everyday favourite that lasted me well over 9 months – definitely worth the price I paid for it!
L’Oreal Paris Infallible Unlimited Mascara Black 01
This mascara is amazing and deserves its own review separately, but in a nutshell this is a dupe for the Benefit Bad Gal Bang mascara which doesn’t dry out anywhere near as fast! I used this mascara everyday and it started to dry out around the 6 month mark which is near the shelf life of it anyway. It gives great definition, length and volume – the brush is tapered for getting in to little corner lashes and while you can bend the wand I found it was good enough getting in to the corners without the need to bend it.
Beyonce Midnight Heat Eau De Parfum
This was given to me by a friend as part of a gift set for my birthday a few years ago, I love Beyonce perfumes and already have the original Heat and Heat Rush as part of my collection. Smell association is a huge thing for me and Midnight Heat just takes me straight back to Induction at my first job over 6 years ago, leading to good and happy memories. I repurchased a massive 100ml in the Prime sale last year so that should keep me going for a few more years.
Playboy Play it lovely Eau De Toilette
Again, this was a gift to me from the same person actually for another birthday – they have good taste in perfume for me! I loved this one too and have a special place in my heart for Playboy so I was sad when I got to the last few drops of this perfume so I may repurchase when I have finished a few more perfumes!
Primark Purifying Papaya Creamy Mask
Unfortunately there is no shop link available for this but I did it included in a really good review by Rebecca Geeves which you can read here, as face masks go it was ok and slightly better than rivals at the same pricing level but I am not sure if I would repurchase it again.
At the moment, I am torn between keeping my empties until the end of the year and then doing a massive post on how much it all cost and how I plan to repurchase or if I should just recycle it as I go along now.. any advice?
